PLASTIC 2-WAY REDUCER PILOT (EN)

The 3-way reducer plastic pilot has been designed so that once mounted on a hydraulic valve, it becomes a pressure reducer, with a working range of up to 10 bar. It allows to regulate both static and dynamic pressure. It is recommended to put an intake filter.

  • Working range 1-10 bar (14.5-145psi), medium pressure, gray colour.
  • Working range 0.8 – 6 bar (11.6-87psi), medium pressure, red color.
  • Working range 0.3 – 4 bar (4.35-65psi), medium pressure, green colour.

APPLICATIONS:

This metallic pilot has been designed so that it is assembled with a hydraulic valve, it is a pressure reducer, and it can work at high pressures.

Materials

  • Body: Plastic with fiberglass.
  • Spring: Stainless steel
  • Membrane: Natural rubber
  • Screw and nut: Stainless steel
  • Shaft: Nickel plated brass

Functioning:

To regulate the pressure, the upper screw of the pilot is used. Tightening the screw will increase the balance pressure and loosening it will decrease it. The screw will be turned little by little so that the pressure stabilizes.

Upon reaching the desired pressure, the position of the screw will be fixed by means of the nut.

Instalation and maintenance

For a correct operation of the pilot, it is recommended to respect the assembly diagrams, using the appropriate fittings for the type of thread.

Seal the connectors with liquid Teflon or tape. Both the installation and the manipulation of the pilot will be carried out with adequate tools and by qualified personnel.
